The Sahara Desert Queen....

These photos were last Thursday. It was a beautiful day to go look at D.SLR camera. Getting dressed that morning was so much fun for some reason. I could not stop dancing. It just put me in such a good mood, I thought it would be contagious to those around me but it wasn't. Regardless, it made me feel good.

Throughout life we let the "busy" things and "trying to get ahead" in life so badly that we forget to do the little things that makes us happy. Granted we have to work really hard, but we should never forget to play really hard also, because as the saying goes "...all work and no play makes Jack a doll boy"

With that thought in mind, I decided to go an art supply store after my trip to the camera store, to purchase a few tools to get back into doing the little things that makes me happy. I work hard, but I also want to play hard and have fun in life.

I love love love these pants, felt like I was in the 70's era with a modern twist. The camera store was a lot of fun and I can't wait to purchase my D.SLR camera soon...will let you know when I do, so stay tuned....

The Brave

These photos were taken on Sunday. I love this dress. .It's so (toned down)Lady Gaga-ish, in terms of the shape. I remember the day I got it and it was like I had won a triathlon. I was running up and down escalators, diving through racks and racks of clothes until a very helpful and kind sales girl did her magic and appeared with the last pair in my size for me. Oh I was so happy in that moment that I wanted to hug and kiss her like she was my long lost love who had returned back into my life...
Well am I am going to leave with a quote that's been on my mind lately, something that I will definitely incorporate into my life, the brave aren't always that ones that don't feel fear but those that push past it...as Joyce Meyer would say "do it afraid"
The fact is everyone feels fear, the brave thing to do is to push past it and that's the true meaning of courage...

Long over due

Seems like when you try to move forward there is something that wants to keep you static. These pictures were taken last week Monday...I know I am very late, but better later than never right...well I guess in some cases.

While taking these pictures, we had some passersby wondering what we (my camera man and I) were doing, which is fine, but then this particular woman decided to mock me or better yet try to intimidate me. She thought her slurs would stop or scare me but it didn't faze me at all, because I realize a long time ago that people only criticize and mock the things that are alien to them. So go on with your life, do what you do, because truthfully what other people think about you is really none of your business anyway. There are only two opinions that should matter and that is what you think about yourself and most importantly what God says about you.

This Little Flower

Easter Sunday was indeed a lively and beautiful day. The sun was evidently alive as i felt its rays on my back. Can't complain because this is the weather I love, when everything seems to come to back to life. The park was a bit packed today, with kids hunting for Easter eggs and enthusiast like myself taking pictures. I am beginning to love this park more and more especially with the new renovations...think I have to research the history of this park...

Funny story about the above picture. It was incredibly really hard to keep balance on the fence and cross my legs at the same time. I almost fell because this skirt made it hard, but what I wouldn't do for fashion huh. Getting down was another story, so am not even gonna get into it...Hope you had a wonderful Easter.

I really wanted to climb this rock for some reason, but couldn't because of my attire, oh well I guess next time. I think I may have an obsession with either rocks or climbing in general don't really know but I love both...

(Bonus picture), love this dress...had if for years. Simple yet beautiful

The sardine can ride

Ahhhh at last! pictures of me and no sight of rain....before i made a quick dash to exchange some items i decided to take a few pictures in the park. I figured since I live right across the street from a park why not take advantage of it...awwww what great memories I have of this rock (picture above). I would often go this rock to relax, stretch, think and just enjoy the fresh
air after a run or when I need totally quietness. With a world that is so noisy, we all need a quiet place....I have another place I go to, just to think and enjoy the air...but that would be featured in a later post.

For those of you that live, or have been on the subway during rush hour in New York City, you would totally understand this. Rush hour in NY is pretty bad especially on the subway. You would think it cant get any worse....ahhhhh but it can. While riding a crowded train, it suddenly went out of service and everybody had to get off and wait for the next train. Mind you, this is rush hour so you could only imagine what the next train looked like, fortunately I was able to squeeze my body on the train only to stuck in between the door and a massive crowd of people. It was quite comical, as all I could do was to laugh at the position I was in. I mean, my face was in people's armpits, funk and all. All could think was, "is this what it feel like to be a sardine in a can" random and strange but with the funk, what else can a person think about.
