"Eat the Cookie...buy the shoes..." Joyce Meyer

Just a quick post before I go to bed because I have to wake up very early for work, 5am to be exact. By the way I love my new shoes from Aldo. I love the velvet feel of the shoes. Hope you enjoy, Goodnight!

"It doesn't take talent to give up, anybody can do that"

<span class=
I feel like am stuck between a rock and a hard place, if that's the correct saying. I am feeling very down today. I hate days like that, I know that there are days like this, but I just hate it.

<span class=

Not everyday is rosy and sunny but sometimes we need the rain, so that we can stop and think. "Do we really want to grow, try different things, meet new people. Is what am doing worth my time and energy, what is my purpose in life."

I know I sound like am rambling, but sometimes we need the rain, but too much rain can also drown you. My point is, that there are days like this and its ok, whats not ok is to dwell in this place forever. When days like this happens when you think that everything is not going well or as you planned remember to never give up, because giving up is so so so easy.

Everything that comes easy usually does not last long and everything that's worth having is not easy either.

FITTING ROOM SESSIONS: NEUTRALS

Welcome to the Fitting Room Sessions. This is the first installation of my many fitting room dramas. Everything that is shown does not necessary mean a purchase. I just want to share with you the things I gravitate towards when i enter a store.

<span class=

<span class=

Some things may or may not work on me, but my motto is, "if you like it, try it on." You will never know if you don't. With that said, I went to HM the other day to pick out some neutrals, mainly some Khakis. I was time crunched so I only picked up two things. A form fitting dress and high waist-ed pants (although, it does not look so in the pictures).

As gorgeous as the dress was, I purchased the pants instead which will be featured later in a post. Hope you enjoyed this first session because there are more to come.

Cocktails and Canapes

Sorry for the delay in posts...I don't really have a valid excuse so am not going to try to make one up. I hope that you will forgive me though(Miss Tasha, that includes you too). With that off my chest, and my consciousness repaired, lets get to the Pre-Launch party for M.A.C's summer line "To The Beach."

I went to the sneak peek event with my friend (Mandy). We both got drenched and beat by the rain because it has been a very rainy season in New York. The event was fabulous, we had so much fun eating, trying out the new line and getting makeup tips from other attendees. There were many things I liked about the event and it wasn't just the line.

The "To The Beach" consists of 28 products, 2 brushes and 1 beach bag. The eye shadows and body oil were by far my favorites. The five eye shadows consists of 3 veluxe pearls, 1 frost, and 1 matte. I must admit that the veluxe pearl eye shadows are very pigmented and you only need to apply just a little for the color to pop. The colors are vibrant, and will definitely get you noticed. I know one eye shadow that I will be wearing this summer will be "sweet and punchy, a vibrant lime green, that make my brown eyes pop.
Some of the other things I liked at the event was this fabulous iced cobra head ring worn by a very nice attendee, who did not hesitate to give Mandy and I some makeup tips.
Another, were these beautiful earrings worn by one of M.A.C's makeup artist. I should have asked where she got them. I will investigate...lol
And finally the food; it was delicious since we were starving upon arrival.

Wearing my beautiful necklace, made at the event by a very handsome model.
The handsome model who made my necklace, with my directions of course.

Although I only walked away with only one item from "To The Beach" line (Bronze Body Oil), the food, the people, the line and the atmosphere were the perfect combination for a rainy day in NYC. Check out the new line, when it arrives on Thursday, May 27 2010. I know that I will definitely be going back to pick up a few more products.

The Sahara Desert Queen....

These photos were last Thursday. It was a beautiful day to go look at D.SLR camera. Getting dressed that morning was so much fun for some reason. I could not stop dancing. It just put me in such a good mood, I thought it would be contagious to those around me but it wasn't. Regardless, it made me feel good.

Throughout life we let the "busy" things and "trying to get ahead" in life so badly that we forget to do the little things that makes us happy. Granted we have to work really hard, but we should never forget to play really hard also, because as the saying goes "...all work and no play makes Jack a doll boy"

With that thought in mind, I decided to go an art supply store after my trip to the camera store, to purchase a few tools to get back into doing the little things that makes me happy. I work hard, but I also want to play hard and have fun in life.

I love love love these pants, felt like I was in the 70's era with a modern twist. The camera store was a lot of fun and I can't wait to purchase my D.SLR camera soon...will let you know when I do, so stay tuned....
